I’ve spent past few days in spa near Vranje (city in Serbia), called Vranjska Banja (Spa of Vranje). There is not much to do there – there are few cafes, but they are empty most of the time. On the other hand, it was pleasant change from dynamic life in city. I had time for myself, to clear my thoughts and enjoy simple life…
Plus, I’ve entered a time machine! :)
I’ve entered grocery store in search for something to drink. And, to my great surprise, I’ve found some liquers that are long gone now in stores in my city. They were produced in 2002. but they never sold them, since most of local people drink only beer over there (at least beer is fresh :). Besides them being old, their prices were also stuck in time!
My friend and I have bought some of them, and the first one we opened was lemon liqueur Barilli Lemoneto made by Rubin Kruševac. Although I don’t prefer drinking sweet liqueurs on their own, this one I enjoyed. Nevertheles, I had to add some mixers, so I’ve tried it out with cola and with some Fanta’s… Anyhow, it was pretty nice. Here’s a picture of it:
Other liqueurs I’ve bought are: Barilli Cordiaca (also made by Rubin Kruševac), bitter-sweet liqueur, and Caraway Rakija (Kimova rakija), made by Prokupac – rakija (brandy) in which caraway was macerated. More on them soon, when I open/taste them ;)
