Why “Lounge area”?

Let me quote a dictionary:

Noun:

lounge (plural lounges)

1. A waiting room in an office, airport, etc.
2. A domestic living room.
3. An establishment, similar to a bar, that serves alcohol and you are able to sit comfortably as music is being played softly in the background and/or a television program is being displayed .
4. A large comfortable seat for 2.5 people or more, a sofa or couch. Also a lounge chair

Verb:

to lounge (third-person singular simple present lounges, present participle lounging, simple past and past participle lounged)

1. To relax as if in a lounge.

I like drinks (not necessarily alcoholic!), I like reading/hearing about them and their history, making them (mostly cocktails), trying different tastes, comparing them, combining them with food, music…
For that reason, I decided to create a place for me to write about my subjective hedonistic experiences and related thoughts, and to welcome everyone who likes loungin’ and enjoys drinks, food, music, books… to chat about various topics while sipping our favorite drink(s), listening to music, relaxing, as if we were in a lounge…

I have to repeat that I’ll be writing my own subjective thoughts on various topics, mostly about drinks and drinking and related topics. I am not an expert in any of those fields (I’m not a sommelier, nor professional music/books reviewer), so don’t take my texts for granted – use them as a basis for your own exploration, just as a suggestions, simple guidelines, not as strict rules.
