Recently, I’ve been thinking about a good way to deal with this tropical heat we’re faced with these days. Here I present you one of the solutions that’ve been “developed” in the process: the mighty Mintonic!
What’s Mintonic? It’s a simple but effective mixture of Mint (syrup) and (Indian) tonic. :) As simple as that! There’s no alcohol to make you warm from the inside and the preparation process is simple so you don’t sweat while you make this drink.
Here’s the recipe:
- 1 part – mint syrup
- 5 parts – Schweppes Indian tonic
Depending on the heat you’re dealing with – fill the highball glass with ice cubes, or don’t :) Pour mint syrup, add tonic, stir the drink gently and serve. You can optionally garnish this drink with mint sprig.
As usual – feel free to experiment with measures to fit the drink to your own taste – particular brand of syrup may be more or less sweet, and we don’t want sweetness to make us even more thirsty when we’re dealing with high temperatures, right?

Od gaziranih sokova pijem samo Schweppes. Samim tim, ovo mi je odlična ideja!
Znači, pogodio sam u srž :)
Nego, maler, zahladilo ovo vreme nešto… :)
